Student, 3D artist, designer

Hi!

My name is Michal Kadrnozka, and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying IT in Brno, Czech Republic. I chose IT because I really like computers (and computer games, of course) and have always been interested in understanding how they work. At 14, I started my gamedev journey, but I was obviously inexperienced, so I stopped after some time. Now, I'm creating 3D models and scenes in Blender for Fenstar.

My projects

My creative journey began in 2020, since then I've completed many projects, as I spend a lot of time on the computer due to studying IT. When I began my gamedev journey, I settled with Unreal Engine because I like realistic-looking games and it includes free assets from the Quixel megascans library. Nowadays, most of the projects I'm working on are 3D models or scenes made in Blender.

Unreal Engine

I started my first Unreal Engine project in summer 2020. It was supossed to be a 2.5D photorealistic game, but I started this project when I was 14 and I didn't have enough knowledge so the project was never finished. Another project I didn't finish was a car game, which used The Matrix Awakens UE demo as a base. I created an Alpine environment for it, but I stopped working on it to learn modelling, because I didn't have the resources needed to make complex levels for the game.

Finished UE projects

I have many unfinished game projects, but also several finished ones. The first one was an MSI pc setup for a competition, which I didn't win, but it was a great experience anyway. Another project I made was a city you could drive around. It served mainly as a test of Ray-Tracing, which I was very interested in. After this I made two smaller projects, the first one was an architectural visualization of (sort of) my dream home. My latest finished UE project was an Alpine environment.

Blender

I started with Blender Guru tutorials, but soon ventured into my own project - an old horror house. After a few months of creating furniture for the house, I decided to try something different and began working on a weapon model. This project was a great learning experience, offering a departure from my previous repetitive projects.

In the following months I created a few more projects, including a cyberpunk city, post-apocalyptic hospital and a modern car commercial style video. However, after a few months of hard work, I needed a break. I managed to spend over 400 hours in Blender, averaging over 8 hours a day (while going to school etc.).
After a few months of normal life, I returned to blender. You can see all of my project in this unified gallery. Nowadays, I'm working for Fenstar, making window models for their website.
